Pumpkin Pie with Handsome Carver’s Pumpkin Pie Peanut Spread

INGREDIENTS

Crust

1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon sugar

Filling

1 cup heavy cream
8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
2 jars Handsome Carver’s Pumpkin Pie Peanut Spread
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Optional Toppings: chopped nuts and whipped cream

DIRECTIONS 

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a bowl, stir together the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter; press into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Bake until brown, about 5 minutes. Set aside to cool completely.

In a large bowl beat the cream at high speed until stiff peaks form.

In a separate bowl add the cream cheese, peanut butter, sugar and vanilla and beat until the mixture is smooth.

Gently fold the cream cheese – peanut butter mixture into the whipped cream until completely blended.

Spoon the mixture into the cooled pie shell and smooth out the top.

Place the pie in the freezer for 1 hour to set. If pie will not be served for a while, wrap it in plastic wrap after 1 hour in the freezer.
